![]() Note: I was looking at this game in hopes of it being similar but I am reading that it is turn-based? I always skip anything turn-based (especially RTS games) unless it is something like the Total War series with an RTS battle system. I enjoy space trading games where you go around to different space stations, take jobs, trade in goods. It takes place in the sea environment where the player assumes the role of the protagonist, who is a trader and must struggle to run the trade routes, stop pirates, gather artifacts and provide the transport to countrymen in need. I have been looking for a similar game for a long time but usually they are way too complex or just have a terrible feel to navigate through everything just to get to core of the game and the combat boring. Trading: Each settlement produces specific products with their own market value. It wasn't too complex but it still needed effort to win your encounters. You can encounter some quests at the inns, recruit crews, upgrade and buy a whole new ship and arm it at the docks and many other things. Focused in the piracy and trade in China seas during the 19 century. You can hire additional crew in the tavern such as sailors and soldiers, visit the bank, buy and sell ships, repair ships, go to your cabin to get the latest status of your economy and. There are several similarities between the two games though. You trade resources from one port to another trying to make a profit. This is because High Seas Trader is mostly focused on the actual trading business on the high seas. ![]() The whole premise is that you are a merchant and trying to be the best (richest basically lol).
