Most questions I had to abandon halfway through to move on to the next question. I just tried to scramble together as much work as I could to hopefully get some effort points and at least showing some resemblance of what would be the correct steps to take. It was a multiple choice final, where you scan and upload the work you do with paper/pencil. I understand the material well, but I still need a bit more time to really think through these problems. What really upsets me is how much I studied, hours a day for 3 weeks. Anyway, regardless of being able to use my textbook and old homework assignments, it didn’t help as much as one might think, you still need time to actually think through each problem, and I just could not think that fast. The syllabus said the final would be 3-hours long, but it was shortened to 2-hours long, since it is online (I guess to make up for the fact that the exam was now online and open-book). Some were straightforward questions, but others were pretty long problems. It was a 2-hour exam with 20 questions, and I absolutely got destroyed by it. I had basically a 99% on assignments going into the final, but was still overwhelmingly anxious at the possibility of failing. The class is weighted 60% assignments (HW) and 40% final, but you must get 70% on the final to pass the class. Oh and if you fail the final, you fail the class, regardless of how well your grade was going into the final. How the class is set up is, do the homework, then take the final. I took calculus 2 online through UC Berkeley Extension and am very worried about failing. Hello everyone, so I was hoping to get some perspective on a class situation I am in.
